Orange Social Venture Prize 2025 Celebrates Innovation

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – On Friday, August 29, 2025 the Orange Social Venture Prize recognized and rewarded Liberia's most innovative start-ups, highlighting their commitment to leveraging technology for social and environmental good.

This prestigious competition happens at national and international stages across the middle east and africa, which aims to identify and support business propositions with a positive impact, announced its national winners in a ceremony that celebrated entrepreneurial spirit and problem-solving.

Finndex Africa, a digital real estate platform, secured the top spot and a whopping prize of $3,000 USD + 6 months of business advisory training from the Orange Digital Center. The platform was honored for its mission to simplify the process of finding rental homes and trusted service providers across Africa. By targeting Liberia’s growing urban rental market, Finndex Africa aims to make housing searches easier, faster, and more reliable for students, professionals, and families.

Securing second place and a $2,000 USD + 6 months of business advisory training from the Orange Digital Center prize was HealthMate, a mobile health application designed to tackle Liberia’s fragmented healthcare system. The app provides patients and providers with a secure digital health record that travels with the patient. HealthMate stood out for its use of AI-driven OCR to digitize paper records and its offline-first design, ensuring functionality even in remote areas with limited connectivity.

GoLocal claimed the third prize of $1,500 USD + 6 months of business advisory training from the Orange Digital Center. This agribusiness venture focuses on value-added processing, packaging, and distribution of local food products. By empowering smallholder farmers and providing them with training, credit, and market information, GoLocal is working to combat food insecurity and reduce the country's reliance on imported goods.

In a special category, the National Women’s Prize, Voices of Tomorrow by Blooming Kaleidoscope was awarded $500 USD + 6 months of business advisory training from the Orange Digital Center. The project was recognized for its dedication to providing crucial support services and awareness campaigns for families living with autism. It aims to challenge stigma, reduce the isolation of affected families, and collect credible national data to inform interventions and policy shifts.

The event underscored Orange commitment to supporting viable business propositions that address social and environmental needs, serving as an undeniable catalyst for progress in Africa and the Middle East.
