National Malaria Vaccine Launch for 6 Months and above

In honor of World Malaria Day, as part of our CSR Health pillar, Orange SL is proud to support the national launch of the malaria vaccine for infants in partnership with the ministry of health

This vaccine is a huge step forward in protecting our children from this dangerous disease. His excellency the president of the Republic of Sierra Leone emphasized the importance of this fight against malaria and was proud that Sierra Leone joins 5 other countries in the sub region to launch the vaccine.

Malaria has for too long posed a significant threat to the health and well-being of our people, especially, our most vulnerable, our infants. This vaccine represents a critical step forward in our fight against this devastating disease.

Today, we are proud to have partnered with the Ministry of health to launch the malaria vaccine to save the lives of infants from 6 months and above, and we are excited to be a key private sector partner on this project.

We understand that information sharing is crucial for the success of this program and that is why, we have offered our resources and service infrastructures to provide a platform for sensitization to disseminate information on the roll out of the malaria vaccine across the nation, to reach a vast segment of the population quickly and efficiently through our communication channels. Our communication campaign will play a vital role in ensuring that everyone has access to accurate information about the vaccine and its benefits for our infants.

Our CSR and Orange foundation pillars echoes a strong commitment to support the five big game changers of the government to drive sustainable economic development and social progress.

At orange, we understand that by investing in health, we invest in the future of Sierra Leone. Therefore, every year, we celebrate the World Malaria Day to raise awareness on malaria disease. In addition, we have invested in several health projects such as; partnering with ICAP on safeguarding maternal mortality project to provide free screening to detect disease in pregnant women; we have also supported the renovation of PCMH Hospital, hosted breast cancer screening sessions across the nation in partnership with Thinking Pink, and we have embarked on several other community health projects.
