Cancer has always been an issue and a major challenge in Egypt, with 128 new cancer cases per 100 thousand people in 2022. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Egyptian females. In most cases, patients present at a late stage, leading to poor outcomes.

As part of Orange CSR efforts to support health care initiatives, Orange Egypt announced its participation in supporting ‘Weqaya" initiative aiming to reduce and kill the waiting lists for surgical breast tumors in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Health and "Dr. Sharif Omar" Foundation. Also Orange took the lead of Weqaya initiative, as it is completely dependent on the contribution of the Egyptian corporates and a lot of other companies will follow the same behavior of Orange for the favor of the Egyptian community
