Orange Digital Schools

The Orange Botswana Foundation supports initiatives that promote education. Building on this commitment, education & social and professional integration through digital have become our priorities.

As we stand on the threshold of a new age, where information is at our fingertips and the ability to navigate digital landscapes is paramount, it is our responsibility to equip young minds with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive. These skills are not only essential for academic success but are the building block of the future workforce, where adaptability and digital fluency are prized assets. The Orange Digital School Programme is one of the initiatives embedded in our digital inclusion strategy.

It addresses issues of digital inclusion and digital equality. The programme aims to close the existing gaps created by digital inclusion through technology to improve access to education.

We have aligned all our efforts to promote quality education with the national Vision 2036 that emphasizes digital technology education and skills as a basic for human resource development. We are further determined to play our role as a responsible corporate citizen in transforming and shaping Botswana's technological future through various initiatives that promote education.

To achieve this, Orange Botswana Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Education and Skills Development and Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in 2017, to kick-start a pilot of Digital school programme in 2018.
