ODC hosts digital literacy workshop for students from rural Montserrado, Liberia

On February 24, 2023, Campaigners against misinformation and disinformation in Liberia in partnership with Orange Digital Center hosted a one-day Digital Literacy Workshop for eighteen (18) students from six schools in Rural Montserrado County (Fendell, Mount Barclay and Careysburg) at the Orange Digital Center in Monrovia. The Digital Literacy Workshop was intended to teach students how to verify images using Google Reverse Image Search. Moreover, the students learned how to verify links and email addresses using Scamdoc. The intent of the workshop was to equip students on how to use relevant digital applications to prevent the spread of misinformation and disinformation in Liberia. At the end of the workshop, the students were certificated for their active participation. These students now serve as Ambassadors in the fight against misinformation and disinformation in Liberia in their schools and communities as we approach elections in 2023 and beyond. #Liberia#peace#misinformation#disinformation#elections2023
