Orange Liberia Answers Call to Support Education: Donates Supplies to Ministry of Gender
Monrovia, Liberia – In a prompt response to a national appeal for support, Foundation has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the education sector by donating essential school supplies to the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection.
The initiative began just a few weeks ago when the Ministry submitted a formal letter of request to Orange Foundation. The Ministry sought assistance in their mission to provide educational materials to vulnerable children who lack the basic tools needed for the classroom. Recognizing the urgency and importance of this mission, Orange Foundation swiftly mobilized resources.
A Commitment to the Classroom
Today, the company officially turned over a substantial donation comprising 400 school backpacks and 132 notebooks. The supplies were received by the Deputy Minister of Gender, Children, and Social Protection along with her dedicated team, who expressed their gratitude for the timely intervention.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, an Orange Liberia representative highlighted the company’s core belief that education is a right, not a privilege.
"It is always a pleasure to contribute to education. We believe that every child deserves an educational boost, and we are proud to stand with the Ministry to ensure these students have the tools they need to succeed."
Looking Ahead: The Education+ Project
This donation marks a significant step in Orange Foundation's broader strategy to support academic growth across the nation. It serves as a prelude to an even larger commitment: the upcoming launch of the Education+ Project.
As Orange Foundation continues to bridge the gap between resources and need, the company remains a steadfast partner to the government and the people of Liberia in building a brighter, more educated future.
