During the week of July 4th, UN Women, in partnership with Orange Foundation, held nine out of 16 graduation ceremonies in Bong, Lofa, and Nimba Counties. Over 400 rural women, including farmers, cross-border traders, and entrepreneurs, celebrated the completion of a six-month Next Level Business Development Skills Training. This marks the fourth training cycle, which has empowered over 2,000 women with essential skills in financial and digital literacy, climate-smart agriculture, and women's rights, including land ownership.

During the ceremonies, participants shared how the training transformed their lives. In Voinjama City, members of the Voinjama District Women for Peace and Development highlighted their improved saving habits, which have led to increased income and better livelihoods for their families. Similarly, the Stand Forever Women Cooperative members expressed that the training boosted their business management skills, self-confidence, and community morale.

In Bong, farming cooperative members expressed gratitude for the training, noting that it helped them conduct market assessments and develop basic business plans, leading to higher profits and expanded business and farming activities.

The members of the Sua Yelle Multipurpose Cooperative emphasized the benefits of learning about climate-smart agriculture and women's land rights. With their new knowledge and skills, they now own their farms, have increased their produce, and utilize Orange Money for savings and transactions.

The Next Level Business Skill Training is part of the Digital Inclusion for Women's Economic Empowerment project, which aims to enhance market access, disaster risk reduction, energy access, and education and skills development. The project has had an impact on these women's lives, promoting economic independence and community development.
